From the central region of Rwanda comes our KIZI RIFT blend, produced by Buf Cafe at the Nyarusiza Washing Station. Buf Cafe began operating in the year 2000 after the receipt of funding aid from the Rwandan Development Bank and USAID’s PEARL project. They are a small co-op of farmers in Karaba, Rwanda, and began as a project started by Epiphanie Mukashyaka, a widow who learned how to produce coffee in order to continue her husband’s work and  help raise her 7 children.
